The brothers Felix Georges & Jules Richard  and, after 1891 Jules Richard
1848-1930) alone (but Richard Freres nevertheless) have built the famous
VERASCOPE 3D cameras and a lot of viewvers projectors... for more than half
a century.
Your taxiphote matches a 1909 model. Your description gives not enough
detail to be sure.
