I noticed this announcement yesterday. Generally fees will be 1% on bids
over $25 (maxing out at $1000 bid for $10), no fees on lower bids, but
there is a lot of fine print about optional "special services" and
prepaying for bids etc. I had expected that they would be funding by
adding advertising rather than doing direct charges to users. Oh, well.
Does anyone have any experience with any of the other web based bidding
services, such as Auction Snipe?
http://auctionsnipe.auctionstealer.com/index.cfm [BTW Don't you love the
name and its appeal to our larcenous sides? ]
Or are these all too new to have much of a track record? Even esnipe
seems to be just getting the bugs out, although ebay problems have been
more common than esnipe problems of late.
And no I don't want to get into long mostly "off topic" discussions
about bidding strategies etc. But these can be very convenient services.
