The FV2 Stereo Fader Projection System Version 2
26 Fader FV1's were made in 1998, and all were sold. 25 updated FV2's
were made in winter of 1999 (10 left as of 5/1/2000). Bob Brackett , has
decided for lifestyle reasons, to make this run the last 25 units he will
make, the it means the end of his manufacturing of stereo projectors.
Bob will continue to maintain and service Faders, as well as Dissolvers.
Brackett owners know from experience, needed service on these projectors
is rare.
A few design improvements appoint the FV2, however the FV2 appears
externally just like the FV 1 and will operate in sync with the FV1 to
create stereo dissolve.
1) Redesigned condenser system that allows full range us of 70-120 zoom
lenses , vignette free.
2) FV2 lens housings use18 gauge metal to eliminate vertical play when
focusing lenses.
3) Leveling foot is now easier to access when adjusting projector for
screen alignment.
4) Slide carriage separator prevents accidental trapping/loss of a stereo
slide if the user mishandles it.
For Realist 41 x 101 stereo slide format images sized up to 23mm x 33mm.
This high quality manual-advance projector has an electronic system for
fade up and down of images (110V only). Smooth fader transitions provide
more pleasurable viewing, than the hard contrast of instant off/on image
projection.
See the Fader at our web site (prices on site are no longer good as of
12/30/99, see below for new pricing). Look below the 101 RBT projector:

The Fader FV2 uses interchangeable lenses, combined with halogen bulb
illumination, for extremely bright-sharp images. Due to the popularity of
the 70-120mm zooms requested on the first run of FV1's, we will only offer
this lens set and no other options. The Fader is a compact 9 in x 9in x
12in, and weighs only 12lbs. The unique feature of the Fader projector is
that, it is cable-linkable to a second Fader to create a system for stereo
dissolve.
A single control on either side of the projector controls ganged or
individual focus functions. Teflon lens guides make focusing extremely
smooth, accurate, easy. Vertical and horizontal controls are easy to
access, for quick adjustment. A slide tray shelf on top of the Fader holds
two 4 x 6 slide trays.

IMAGE SIZE: BASED ON OPTICAL LENGTH AND DISTANCE FROM SCREEN
The following general guideline help you to determine what the vertical
height of your image will be, at a given distance with the optical lengths
listed below.
Image height is recorded here, so Realist format users can basically figure
a square format image. European, wide and full format images you can
calculate based on the ratio of your image's width to its height.
70-120mm Zoom sets would continuously vary between listings below.
