We're trying something new on this list - I've put a diagram John
drew in this discussion on a "tech3d WEB page"
Hopefully this will be a method we can use to easily share things
like diagrams, sketches, sample photos, etc. for this list without
the overhead of posting them to the entire list (which wouldn't

Now, a question: John, can you describe "a Lambertian surface"
in layman's terms, (or are you simply trying to limit the
