My first mailing, thoughtful, wise and witty, went off into the 
imaginary plane, not to be seen again. So this will be brief.

1) Does anyone know the algorithm camcorders use for setting
color balance, that is, white? Seems to be automatic in even
the upscale models, and I wonder if it is routinely fooled.

2) Now, relating to 3d, has anyone had actual hands on experience
"genlocking" two consumer grade camcorders?  Seems as if it
ought to be possible with a small tipped soldering iron to
get in there and send one of the camera's synchs to the other.
Since the warranty on two machines could be simultaneously
voided, I'm reluctant to lead the way. But surely someone
on this talented list has looked into it.
