Just about every computer mouse has a micro-switch in it.
So you know how they feel - although ones that handle larger currents
may feel stiffer. The one in a mouse isn't handling much current.

A friend has a microswitch in his viewer, and I agree that he has no
flicker problem.

I haven't felt like converting my own viewer though.
