I would imagine one could slip in different aperture plates
with different spacings and with different f/numbers.  Frankly
haven't heard of this being done but don't see why it couldn't 
be.  I guess when the aperture spacing was changed, the place
on the film where the images lie would change.  Not a good
feature.
