But would the double aperture approach account for the ability to regulate
the stereo base between 2mm and 20mm? Seems like the approach would have
to be via two cameras linked using a movable prism or transmission mirror
system (other image balanced by nd filter?). I understand how one could
make a 2mm base or a 20mm base camera, but not how you could get a
variable range of this magnitude.
