Sorry I missed the joke. I just perceived it as several people (not
just you) importing a beef from another list to the list I am responsible
for. If _everyone_ finds it humorous, then I have no problem with it.
As we all know, beefs require enormous amounts of wasted energy. So who
needs that? 8-)

I think we do the latter but you would have to go far back in the
archives to discover the current state. Last I recall, Bob Wier is
in charge of all things technical (computer stuff), Dr. T is in charge
of subscriptions, and Joel Alpers is in charge of keeping the P3D & S3D
lists on an even keel. I do "Joel's job" on this list. All of us can
do all of the other's jobs. So if one of us is out of town, the
others can cover. If you have a problem, you can write to me as well
as one of the others but the best thing to do is to send your problem to
3d-moderators@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
where the correct moderator for that job will pick it up and deal with it.

I used to do that but it has been a very long time. Let me see if
I still remember how to do it. (My little bit of Unix is getting rusty.)
OK, it was far easier than I thought. These figures will include multiple
entries, postpones, and so on so they are higher than the effective figures.

P3D 1007 entries
S3D 491 entries
T3D 218 entries

We used to have a moderator who wrote a program to give us a count
by country. That was fun.

Oh, it's easy to explain and I don't mind. My interests have narrowed
to the technical aspects of 3D while P3D has broadened to the point
where it is not particularly focussed on my areas of interest. So it
was no longer a good fit for me. Frankly I am much more interested in
your sort of post than a post on whether a realist is better than a kodak.
Others are just the opposite.

BTW, I saw the treatise you posted. It looks fascinating. Now there's
something for me to work my way through. Thanks much.
