Not sure what you mean.

Here's what I think you want. There are several ways of saying and
doing it so I'll pick one. Start from the neutral position: back and
lensboard in line above the center of the tripod. For the left shot,
shift the lensboard 32 mm to the left and shift the back 32 mm _plus_
1/60th of the focal length of the lens you are using. For the right shot,
bring the camera back to neutral and then shift the lensboard 32 mm to
the right and the back 32 mm plus 1/60th of the focal length of the lens.

Let's say you are using a 300 mm lens. Then the additional shift you
need above is 300/60 = 5 mm.

If you have the camera on a slide bar, the directions would be:
starting with lens and lensboard lined up, for the left shot shift
the whole camera to the left and then shift the back an additional
5 mm to the left. For the right shot, shift the whole camera to the
right and shift the back 5 mm right of center (10 mm from where you
last had it).

The "built-in" window in the above examples would be (32/5)*300 = 1.92 m
(6' 3.6") away and I would consider that normal.
