Yes, that's how I would describe it.  I usually notice it more when 
the entire image is "that way".  Looks like a group of 2-D images
each set at different depth "layer" points.

To some extent, the "fake" 2D->3D conversions that put a 2D image
behind a window are kind of a super-minimalistic version of carboarding.
