Well, a couple of years ago the FCC and TV hardware vendors/suppliers
informed us that 640 x 480 is no longer adequate even for full motion. Thus
is borne the US version of HDTV... best of luck to all of us in the
industry who must produce and transmit this poorly conceived and executed
system, and to the consumer who will somehow have to receive it... (this in
reference to the recent work by Sinclair Television demonstrating that the
standard is virtually unreceivable in normal home situations)...

Also John, how archival do you feel CDs are? I think the tech specs I've
seen place their dependible life somewhere around 10-15 years...
