If I recall correctly it extends to about 700 nm then drops
quickly. I quess it has about the same spectral sensitivity
as the Konica "IR" product. I have found Tech Pan to be really
amazing film especially with a far red filter like the wratten 29.
I read a post a few years ago that explained that film and airport
xray machines should have no problems and that lead bags actually
do nothing to protect film. The post was written by someone who
knew the physics of x-rays. I have not had any problems with tech
pan or Kodak highspeed infrared film being x-rayed at American
airports. The film went through the machine and I watched the
X-ray image of the camera in my luggage! Neither film in canisters
or the film in the camera was affected.
I'll check to see if I can find that original X-ray post.
I saw some negatives that had gone through machines in Russia in 1986
they appeared to have been affected but I'm not sure.
