IR Filters

For the first time I have used HIE and an 87c filter. The suggestion to
place the filter between the film rails behind the shutter works
beautifully. However, I may have some problems with exposure. I exposed
the HIE-135 at ISO 25 and developed the film for 5 minutes at 22C in D-17.
This resulted in very dense negatives. I don't know whether I over exposed
the film or this is the way negatives should look exposed through this
filter. In the past I have used a #25 filter and rated HIE-135 at 100/125
and used no filter factor.
