Sony video camera

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I have just
collected a video camera for our department. It is the new
Sony TRV-65E, which has a "0 lux" facility for use when
filming in darkness.
I know it has been said before on this list that some camcorders
can see into the IR range of light, so I tried it with this one. It
works O.K. you can see the image but it is quite dark with a
Kodak Wratten 87C filter over the lens, but when you switch
it to "Night Vision" ! it is just like IR photo's and VERY bright,
(well just like normal then :-) ). So I don't know if anyone is
keeping a list of camera's that can see into the IR but you
can certainly add this to the list.
I am looking forward to try out/playing with this and it does
mean if our proper IR video camera breaks we have a excellent
replacement.
