It's really just a matter of doing your own tests. Flash a sheet of paper so
that there is a very slight amount of fogging. Them place four coins on the
paper. Wait one minute then cover a portion of the paper that holds one of the
coins. Wait one more minute then cover another portion. Wait two minutes then
cover the portion holding the third coin. Four minutes later pull the paper and
develop it for twice the amount of time you normally develop that paper.

You will have exposed the sheet for 1, 2, 4, and 8 minutes. If a coin shows in
any of the portions, you will know how long you can use that paper in that area
with the lights as they currently exist. You will need to do this with each
paper type that you use.

For instance, I know that with my setup I can use Ilford MGIV at the 8 minute
level (I saw no forring whatsoever), but Forte Polygrade shows a very slight fog
at the eight minute mark. This is no big deal, as the time between removing the
paper from the box to the time in the developer is never more than four minutes.
