Could someone please tell me why the #87C filter is "the proper IR filter"?
My #87 is for all intents and purposes opaque to visible light, so all you
are doing with higher order filters like the 87C is lowering the effective
speed of the film, almost like using a neutral density filter. What's the
point?
As far as picture taking goes, I find the 89B to be identical to the 87,
but we can save that for another day.
