Actually, I gathered no disrespect at all from your message. You are, in my
opinion, quite right. I often use my old Nikon FM when shooting IR, but when
I am limited to what I can carry, my N90s's must do double duty. But when I
use them it's always in FULL manual mode. Their light meters aren't
calibrated for IR -- I confirmed this by an empirical test.
I do wish someone made an affordable IR exposure meter...
