Techpan with deep red filters...

Been there, done that...
Extremely reduced tonal range.. Anything that is red will be read as
white by the film (make-up and composition must be altered
accordingly)..
Seem to remember rating it at about 800 ISO metered in studio... Was
developed in D-19 (1-1) for about 4 minutes... Negatives will be dense
and extremeley contrasty, almost lith-like. 24 X 36 enlargements were
nearly grainless.
There was an article in Shutterbug back in 91, 92, or 93 about it. It
was a teo issue piece on Ultra High Contrast Photography. It is a great
piece of source material on this. I found the numbers in the article for
development times in D-19 OK if I rated the TechPan one stop faster than
the article stated. Also... as many do with HIE, bracket a stop in each
direction.
All in all, I got some awesome imagery..
