My experience over the last ten or so years is, I have never had a problem
with Ir film in the patterson tanks.
I Think this myth comes from VERY cheap and old Dev tanks, though I have
used a a tank from the 40's and this worked O.K.

When I went to the store to purchase the tank, the clerk strongly advised
against it, stating the IR film would be fogged, since the plastic tank was
not IR resistant. I found it hard to believe, but am holding back on a
purchase until I float this thought out to the masses here. Anyone using
the Paterson all plastic tanks? Comments....Thanks!!
