Well many people think IR film records heat because what IR is used for in
other terms besides film or photography is for night vision. Like you'll
hear it used by military or other people like spys who use it and it actually
does react by heat. So they can see people clearly because the heat from the
skin gives a red color against the black background... anyway the film
isn't the same concept and that is what people don't know right away! Hate
to use this example but remember Silence of the Lambs? They used an infra
red telescope or binoculars in that movie in one of the scenes..
