Tolga,
If you put your HIE films in your handbagage there will be no problem. I
travel regularly within Europe (live in Holland)and I never noticed any
fogging. Sometimes my films pass  a dozen times through the Xray machine
and never encountered any problem. A few airports do not allow you to
have your films hand checked. But why should you insist on handchecking
as you will certainly meet a custom officer who wants to have a look in
your black plastic film cannisters and you will have all your HIE
fogged. Warning: never put your films in your suitecases!!!
