Minolta Dynax 600si backplate

I'm sorry I don't know if there's any difference between them - I've
never seen a Maxxum myself. The problem I got with my backplate wasn't
really a fogging problem (maybe you got this notion because I used a
somewhat misleading subject header ?). My Dynax 600si has two little
rectangular holes on the upper left side of the backplate. Maybe this is
because Minolta uses the same backplates for their cameras with a date
and time function as for those without (like mine). Now these little
holes don't reflect as much light as the rest of the backplate does.
Therefore they print darker than the surrounding parts of the picture.
This was exactly the problem that was descirbed in the message I
originally answered:
