The 35 mm film is in black plastic containers in the tin. Some of the
plastic containers I got were not safe for HIE (which doesn't
necessarily mean that they weren't safe for MACO IR, which has a
different spectral sensitivity). Other people reported, that their
plastic containers were IR-safe... If you want to be extra careful, you
shouldn't open the can in the light.
The fogging problems that were discussed on this list some weeks ago
have probably nothing to do with the plastic containers. There was a
technical problem at MACO, which is solved now. BTW, when I talked to
them about this issue, I found that the MACO people, especially Mr.
Schroeder, the head of their photo unit, are really sympathetic guys...

I used D-76 and was quite happy with the results I got. You can find
some suggestions on exposure and development (they are only starting
points for your own testing !!) on my homepage (see footer). There is a
