Hi Japp, I have had the same problem. I think that the film cassettes were
loaded into their
canisters in daylight at the factory. That would account for the repeating
black bar that runs the
width of the film, from light that has leaked in throught the felt light
trap. The felt on the cassette
is not IR proof ( Konica's cassettes are!).

I have talked to Cachet and emailed the factory about this. I got 5 rolls
like yours. My suggestion is
to  start shooting past the first 12 frames and complain to the factory.

About the pre-rinse... I think that is for people who re-use their
developer.I have only done the
pre-development rinse once.It doesn't seem to make any difference in
development.
My complain is that the 35mm film is coated on both sides with gelatine and
the back  side is easily damaged.
