sorry for the late answer - I had some technical problems with my IP...
My MACO test rolls were fogged just the same way as yours. Some months
ago I had a long discussion with the MACO people on this issue. They
finally admitted that they had a problem with the packaging of the
films. Guess they left the light on while they put the film cannisters
in their tin cans... They assured me that the problem only occured with
a few cans of the preproduction and that it is solved now. 
IMO we shouldn't complain too much. They are very sympathetic people.
Besides that, there aren't too many film manufacturers who give people
like us the chance to test their preproduction materials. Although I
lost one or two nice pics due to the fogging, I really enjoyed testing
the MACO film.
