I just returned from the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and there
are bold specfic warnings to NOT place your film in checked
baggage - at least at the America West check-in counters. So
it seems some are not so secret.

I also use a Pelican type case (Tundra actually - just as good
only less expensive) as carry on for my stereo gear. I also
take a massive Manfrotto tripod (3.5 feet tall and 15 pounds
when collapsed). So far I have not had any problems with this
stuff as carry-on. I do not have the tripod in any sort of
case or bag. I just put a luggage tag on it and place it in
the overhead bin. The camera gear goes under the seat where I
can get to it for those aerial hypers.

I also have a camera backpack that works great. I searched for
a long time and was never satisfied with the size or price of
most. Unfortunately I can't remember where I bought it and it
doesn't have a manufacturer's tag anywhere on it. I will have
it at NSA though for anyone who is interested.

That's all for now,
