I'm not familiar with the Minolta dual cable release, but my Hasselblad
dual adjusts each side individually for fine tuning.

As far as how accurate the sync can be, it really depends on the phase of
the moon and what constellation mars is in at the time. I'll get it
absolutely perfect in the shop, take it out and have it be off an 1/8th of
a second outside. How fast you push down will also vary the accuracy. I
recommend as fast as possible while still avoiding any vibrations, which
should be successful around 1/125th perhaps.
