No harm in telling him the inevitable. You may want to give a big
disclaimer with any info you give out with hacking, and make sure they are
honest about their own abilities.
Of the many who claimed to have started their own stereo projects in
response to my own pages, I know of NONE who have actually succeeded ( they
just stop writing back!). Greg and Tom are two who have succeeded on their
own, which is why I didn't include them in my survey!

Then my basement would REALLY scare you. It's not that I don't finish true
projects, I just buy a lot of cameras to see their potential, and end up
leaving them in various pieces if I lose interest! I expect to have a big
sale of the untouched ones, as I'm running out of space down there! My LAST
(hopefully) stereo SLR project should reach the testing stage next weekend.
After that, it's an RBT or NUT'N !!!!
