There is 3d life in Saskatoon!

(I don't know if anyone cares for/about my
3d stories but here comes another one.)
We visited the in-laws yesterday for a
3 person birthday celebration. Dawn stayed
in Watrous with the kids and I got a ride
back to Saskatoon with Dawn's sister and
husband.
We got back around 7:30 pm so I had the
whole evening to myself! After washing
the dishes and starting some laundry
(responsible guy that I am!) I was ready
for 3d.
I started by finishing off a roll of
E100S that was in the Bronica for a couple
of months. I shot some Swarvski crystal
macros by sitting them on my little Cabin
(4x5") light panel. It claims to be 5000K
and it looked good in the viewfinder so
I'm hoping for good results.
Then I decided it was a good time to
try some night (outdoor) shooting. So I
dug through my magazine pile to find an
article about Night Shots that gave some
exposure estimates (10, 20 and 40 sec
at f4 for 50 to 100 speed film).
So I went out with my Bronica and 39"
slidebar and shot some skyline hypers.
After a short sleep I got up early to
take some photos of some flowers in our
front yard (coneflowers and others). I
finished off the roll that was in the
Sputnik. Then I put a roll of Velvia in
the Bronica and did some slidebar photos
of the same flowers since the wind was
non-existant.
On my lunch hour I dropped off my three
rolls of film. There was a new woman working
at the counter. The woman who works in the
back came up and asked me if the rolls were
left and right (stereo) ones again. I said
yes then the new one says "do you have a
stereo camera?"
I said yes and she said that she wants
to shoot "naked ladies" (her words) like on
the old stereo cards. She has a friend that
will handtint them for her. She already has a
viewer but has been trying to find a stereo
camera (in Canada) without luck so far.
So she asked if she could beg/borrow/ or rent
my Spunik. I said sure (and would have even
if naked ladies weren't involved :)
Actually she was looking for something in
large format but I said that contact or small
prints from the Sputnik would work for a start
at least.
So, not only did I have a good evening and
morning to shoot some MF 3d but I met someone
else in our little city that wants to do the
same.
An interesting day (for me) - Greg
