Re: Lubitel Models
Hi' Tony here from the UK.
There is also a Lubital with a locking device central in the base.
It turns to release the back. Very early I think. Mine also has
uncoated lenses, but aquits itself very well in the taking.
It has no numbers on the face plate and the name is in Cyrillic
script.
Last weekend I went to Bournemouth on our South Coast to the
AGM of the stereoscopic society.
Great event, lots of nice people (of course) and the projected slides
were a joy to behold.
I purchased a Stereo Realist circa 1949 - all working well, though
and paid £55 - I think about $70.
Is that good?
How do I adjust a way-out rangefinder? There is a screw covering
an opening which the manual says is for the adjustment, but I can't
find any screw or adjuster in there - - just lots of empty hole.
Bought a whole load of metal Realist slide mounts with glasses for
£5 - and there are about 100 or more.
Got a couple of superb screens for next to nothing. Big ones 50X50
inches. There were somemembers from California there and I think
that they were there for a few weeks. It's a long way to come for
three days!!.
