Hi Greg, 

The cutter was made for the Mamiya 645 system, i.e., 120. It has some
vertical positioning capability and unlimited horizontal. It clips out
the square in one fell swoop and getting good overlays is easy by
leaving the first half of the pair in while lining up and cutting the
second. The bottom is open to get light through to see what you are
doing.
