Another way to keep track of left and right is to modify the film gate
of one of the cameras.  Use a file or a small drill bit to put a notch
in the film gate.  Of course this is easy to say when using $40
Lubitels (or 4x5 where it's common to notch film holders so that film,
holder and notes can be matched to each other) and not really
expensive Mamiya 7's.
