As it happens I'm a professional UNIX sysadmin, and the ISP I use (and
used to work for) is very good about allowing various forms of CGI
programming, not just perl scripts.  (They are one of the few still
offering shell access.)

If Joel doesn't mind keeping the comments page on his personal page
that's OK with me.  One less thing to fiddle with.

By the way, I consider this to be Loop 2 (which currently has slides
from you and David Lee).  I don't intend to create a new loop with the
insertion of my slides.

I realize that none of the shipping methods are perfect.  I've had
horrible experiences with all of them.  Requiring signatures was an
afterthought and not that important.

Any routing changes would be to insert new folio members and perhaps
to optimize for members that have dropped out.  I'd also like to
minimize the per hop shpping charges, but I suspect that has already
been done.
