Copy-right issue solved

Dear list,

Please consider this copy-right issue solved, and seize your (email)
fire....:-))

The person who linked my images (and not put them 'physically' on
his site as I first thought) has shown remorse, and is not as bad as
I thought....he is selling two 202's, part of a larger set of cameras
he bought himself earlier, involving some rare Russian SLR's....the
202's are more or less surplus for him (the poor soul doesn't know
what he is missing by not using them....but I am getting soft here....;-))

Oddly enough, on the Ebay-site, it isn't possible to remove text or
links, so I removed my 'copy-right infringement' texts, and the links
are now simply dead. If the Ebay-concept on itself didn't annoy me that
much, and if I wasn't involved in dealing with 202's myself, I might
even have put the original images back. Perhaps a next time with
proper credit and a clickeable link (which can't be put next to the
original image now, otherwise that would be a current solution as
well). Still leaves me with the problem that I can't check the
quality of the two 202's he has, while somehow endorsing/approving
them by the links to my site.

Again, hold your fire, and don't trash this person to death by
email....he has shown genuine remorse, and is not a bad guy, he just
had to be educated a bit on image-rights (and not so much
copy-rights, given the remote-linking concept) and Netiquette.
I also invited him to both IR- and Panorama-list, so don't hold this
against him if he subscribes, no-one deserves a grudge for the rest
of his life.

Thanks for your help and understanding, and sorry for the
bandwidth....hope some others have learned from this as well; and
since this was my first 'infringement', *I* certainly did....there is
a first for everything!

Willem (though I prefer infringements that result in US$5k bills) Jan
