Leonid Meteor Shower

Hi all,
I could use your collective knowledge on shooting meteor showers. I'm on the island of Guam at 13 degrees N.Lat.. The shower will originate out of Leo about 45 degrees above the horizon. I can get a dark area with no light pollution (shooting out over the Pacific ocean). I'd prefer to shoot the slowest film possible. Apparently some of the potential fireballs from this may have magnitudes of -6 to -9 in magnitude. -4 is as bright as Venus ever gets and -12 is the brightness of the full moon. The last Leonid shower (33 years ago) had these magnitudes.
I'd like to expose as long as possible without getting into base fog. Anybody have specs at hand for various transparency films. I'll be shooting everything from 35mm, 6x7, 6x12, 6x17 and 4x5.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
At Your Service,
Mitchell P. Warner
