fringing by scanning  a piece of white ribbon.  At the time these came
out it could out perform a $4,000 scanner.  Then the bottom fell out of
the market and they moved production overseas.  He says they don't make
them better anymore, just cheaper.

How do you illuminate the negs  transparencies?
