I'd certainly support having a newsgroup.

somehow I doubt that a 3d group would get many:
phonesex
nazi
communist
religious
makemoneyfast

etc postings...
I frequent alt.horror.werewolves and we don't get any unwelcome mail at all
[except for the "are you suffering from hair loss" one which gave us all a
 great laugh!]
