Justifying a stereograph?

Ok. Ok. Ok. What is or is not an appropriate subject for a stereographic
study has gotten some band width lately. Quite eloquently too, I might
add. But, there's one thing I still don't get. How is it that there is
ANY onus befalling the poor stereographer to justify one subject as
"art", but not another? It just dosen't make any sense to me. I think
the real problem was best summed up by Cole Porter when he said "Instead
of the Puritans landing on Plymouth Rock, Plymouth Rock should have
landed on them".
