Yes you can take two frames and get three dee but only if the camera
traverses (or the scene traverses).  If it's panned, you won't get
anything because the point of view isn't changed, only the direction 
of view is changed.

Depends on how the cells were moved between shots.  Theoretically, you
betcha.  Maybe I ought to call up my cartoonist friend and ask him if
the cells are moved realistically when the viewpoint traverses.
