But soft, what light....?

If this question has been answered on this list previously, please
excuse my asking again, but could anyone offer an opinion (of course
anyone can offer an opinion; it's a free country!) on which standard
(USA)screw-base light bulb offers the best color balance for viewing
slides. I don't mean for LIGHTED viewers (I'm all set there, thanks to
Dr. T's DC halogen and 75v AC bulbs), but for steal-the-light viewers
like ViewMasters. If one wanted to hold a ViewMaster party after dark
for instance what bulb would they want for the ceiling light or desk
lamp that would most closely approximate daylight? Standard 100 watt
tungsten soft white SEEMS to look O.K., although I know that it is on
the yellow side. Is there a "daylight" bulb? (I'm assuming that
daylight is the preferred light source for any steal-the-light viewer.)

Eventually I hope to have amassed enough lighted Kodaslide II or
Realist viewers to pass around, but in the meantime multiple
steal-the-light viewers will have to do.

Thanks for any suggestions you may be able to offer.

Best regards,
Bill Davis
