KODAK STEREO MOUNTING

While I continue to re-mount my exhibition stereo slides myself. It has been
nice having Kodak/Kodalux-Dallas mount everything so that I don't just have a
bunch of strips of film or stereo chips running around the house OR gobble up
all my precious aluminum Realist masks. Although I have come to expect
occasional pseudo (reversed chips) or frame cutting error (makes me cringe),
the rolls I received over the weekend set a new low standard. There are many
slides with rotation so bad you can't even see stereo through a viewer (at
first blush I thought the chips were reversed). There are several where
chips from different shots are mounted together not to mention the usual poor
cutting and positioning of the chips.
Has anyone else noticed a recent decline in the quality of the Kodak stereo
mounting service? Do you have any suggestion for an alternative by mail
processing/stereo mounting service? Bill Orr
