XP5

 >>XP5 is a black-and white 400-speed film that is
developed in standard color C-41 process. Of course,
printing to color paper may cause problems (blue-ing, I
predict).

Back in my previous lifetime as a lab tech at 50 Minute
Photo (in the early 80s) I experimented with Illford's XP5
(although it may have been XP2 or 3 or 4 ;-) ) with
acceptable results. Printed on standard color paper (it was
an automated mini-lab after all) with no color correction I
got a nice, but slightly washed out, sepia toned print.
After a great deal of experimentation with the filter
settings I was able to get a well balanced sepia tone but
was never able to get a real Black and White looking print.
However, I did have my custom lab make a few enlargements
on B&W paper with excellent results.
