Not Berkeley, Stanford.
Not single-eye, laser projection into expensive glass block.

Intersection of two infra-red laser beams causes rare earth inpurities
in glass block to emit visible light.  By shining the lasers around
in a carefully controlled manner, she has been able to produce a 3-D
image of an oblique ring rotating in space.

Article appears in current edition of Science - and a 1.7 MB QuickTime

Though I will say this technique has NOTHING to do with using film
and cameras to take pseudo-3D pictures.
