Twin 35mm Stereo setups info wanted

How do you set up a pair of 35mm cameras on a bar with a "y" connected
shutter release?  I looked in theReal-3d catalog to find the bar and release
cable, but no luck.  I need to get stereo pairs scanned and am having no
luck with either 5perf realist format, or with 1/2 frame beam splitter negs.
So, giving up on those, I might go to the twin setup.
All this is to get some kitten photos on the internet in 3D!
