What happened to View-Master? You didn't include it with the Realist
and Hollywood for the generally credited.;-)
You bring up some very interesting points. I think it was touched
upon here in P3D in relation to slides and V-M, that the demise after
the sixties (or was it after the seventies) had to do with the coming
of video-recorders. That's the theory anyways, who knows for sure.
The only thing I might add is that there is still, once in a while
a passing reference to 3d in magazines. Now has the interest died
down after the sixties, hard to say. Would some of the "old timers"
like to comment on how the atmosphere was before the sixties
regarding 3d. Was it in the public mainstream? It seems to me it
was in the public only two times previously. At the turn of the
century with (now antique stereo viewers, but we have to remeber
at the time they were probably regarded as hi-end virtual reality
viewers) the stereoscopes and in the 50's with Realist type cameras,
3d movies and comics, etc. I think what killed it the first time
was motion pictures and the oncoming of television. Then in the
50's with wide screem movies and color television. (also bad quality
3d)

P.S. Talking about old stuff, Sam how was the annual 3D night over
there in Toronto with yours truly.
