Imagination Needed

George, what a list of wonderful ideas! You mentioned Tabletops and
Closeups, and you mentioned the kitchen. I immediately thought of an art
assignment I was once given, to draw the contents of my kitchen junk
drawer. We all have such a drawer in our kitchens, containing bottle
openers, scissors, string, rubber bands, jar lids, utensils, and whatever
else. How would it look in 3-D?

You mentioned Flowers (wonderful 3d photography in the home and the
field), but in the field the wind would be blowing and I doubt if you
would want to try this with a single SLR. We had a guy in our camera club
who dug up the plant, brought it home, photographed it against a red
backgroud, and tried to enter it in Nature. Really!

- Architectural (an entire building with a wide angle lens or a small
detail with a long lens) How about the backyard fence? Could that be
considered architecture?

- Hyperstereo from an airplane showing ground area, such as Yosemite
National Park, the streets of Sacramento as you are coming in for a
landing at SFO. (My interpretation. Clouds can be boring.)

- Stunning NY skyscrapers from the boat that take you to the Statue of
Liberty. I have never been there, but I have firsthand knowledge that it
can be beautifully done.
