Yes it's a nice poster. I wanted to buy it at Rochester but said to my
self I didn't want to carry it back on the bus back to Montreal. It's
a really nice oversized poster. I do plan to order it, since it will
go well and help me not get lost when I am flying over the Grand Canyon
with my 3d flight simulator. This is not the one from MicroSoft that I
have referred about before here in P3D but another program whereby you
can fly the Grand Canyon in 3d anaglyph mode. The graphics are vector
format but the frame rate is smooth and 3d effect is very good. It
reminds me alot of the Virtualboy but the background is white as opposed
to being black in the Virtualboy. The program is available as a playable
demo with some features limited, such as only a 100 square mile area
compared to the full version which has a 1800 square mile area. Also in
the full version the program allows you to viesw the canyon at varying
sun angles with realistic shadows. I have not seen the demo on the net
but is available in 2 books on virtual reality.

I have tried calling the author of the program to get the full
version but didn't get any return calls from his answering machine
a few years back. I think the address and phone number is probably
out of date by now and will have to check again, when I get around
to it to find the new phone number, to see if the full version is
still available. For those who want to get the full version or get
more info, here is the old address with some info.

The author of the program is Fred Tuck.
Now I wonder is he a member on this list or does anybody know of him
or where the full program can be purchased? Has anybody tried the full
version?

P.S. Talking about anaglyph simulator and games, there are others.
Did you know that in Duke Numkem3d, that it can be played in anaglyph
mode. I don't think they advertised this feature because I think they
didn't iron out some of the bugs in it.
