Close-ups of flowers - Thanks!

THIS IS A GREAT GROUP! I have been overwhelmed by responses
submitted to my original posting. Obviously 3d photography is alive
and well.

In particular I would like to thank the following for their advice
and ideas:

John Bercovitz - For his comprehensive, extensive contribution
including his time spent typing out the tables.

Gabriel Jacob - For intially providing detailed info to allow me to
subscribe. Also his web pages will be interesting when I find
opportunity to view them. (Haven't got the right viewing glasses yet)

Michael Kersenbrock - For his ideas for using beam splitters.

Dr. George A.Themelis - For his suggestions on using an SLR with a
slide bar. Don't go to Australia, come to New Zealand instead. We
are a very photogenic country. We have the mountains of Switzerland,
the fiords of Norway, Volcanoes, Extensive virgin forests, freedom
camping. A 2-3 hour journey takes you to an entirely different type
of landscape. Best time to visit: October - May (our summer)

Michael Kupka - I was not aware that a Macro Realist camera was in
existence.

Some people have asked why I would want to take photographs of
flowers at the moment. The answer is obvious of course. Being in
the Southern Hemisphere it is now our turn for some summer.
My associate (who grows flowers commercially) is taken with the idea
of sending clients 3d prints (with a viewer) of his best quality
blooms. Although this has the potential to be quite a expensive
exercise, he believes that this type of advertising will have quite
an impact.

We got the idea from a local television news item, where a New
Zealand photographer is taken 3d photos of Japanese tourists who come
here in large numbers. The Japanese appear to be enthusiastic buyers
of these 3d photos. Maybe this would be an idea for someone in the
U.S. to set up in business.

I realise this may be a sensitive commercial area, but does anyone
else in the group use 3d professionally? Members of the group are
probably sufficiently seperated geographically not to compete with
each other. A sharing of ideas might be useful.

Regards to the group,
Hans Gelton.
