3D on CD-ROM (sorry not available on vinyl)

Yesterday I spotted this CD-ROM game for kiddds that mentioned Free 3D
Toonvision glasses inside. Obviously I checked out the packaging for
more details. The box wasn't much help deciding what type of 3D it
used but it did mention awesome 3D games (grain of salt here) and there
was an artists rendition of one of the 3D games. It didn't have the
red and blue shading which led me to believe it was chromatek.
But their was a picture of a cool (of course) penguin wearing anaglyph
glasses looking at the game. It looked worth taking a gamble on it and
if I didn't like it I could always give it to my kid for Christmas. ;-)
Well when I took my new purchase home I opened the package and they
were indeed the chromatek type glasses. Now I wonder why they had anaglyph
glasses on the cover???? Maybe to remind us of those 50's movies. Just
kiddding. (no anaglyphs in 50's movies)

The game premise is about trouble-making toons escaping their TV world and
taking over yours. You basically have to round them up among a zillion
other activities featured in the game. Very well done. The 3D part of
the game is not in all of the game but in a section of it. There is
three games with the 3D feature. There is a table tennis type game, some
road game, and blasters ? game. Can't tell you how it looks because before
you can play those parts you have to find a secret code. Now it's not like
I can't find it but I don't have the time to spend looking for it among
the game. I will let my kid look for it (for me) at X-mas.
They have a nice web site at http://www.stay-tooned.com
and the name of the game is called, of course, Stay Tooned by Sierra.
There is no mention of any 3D on their web site, but on another site they
briefly mention it, at
http://www.davd.com/products/stooned.html
BTW without CD technology this game would not be available and without
chromatic aberration the 3D would not be possible. Who said chromatic
aberration is baddd! ;;;-)
